a pink-ranunculus-inspired color palette

a ranunculus-inspired color palette // spring, pink, green

This beautiful ranunculus is from Ryan and Taylor’s wedding at The Flower Fields this weekend. Not only did we get to take home delicious macaroons, but we were invited to keep the floral centerpieces too! I hope this palette of pinks and greens puts a little SPRING in your step!

Happy Friday + Congrats to the newlyweds!

a New-Mexico-inspired color palette

a New-Mexico-inspired color palette // orange, peach, teal

When I saw this bench outside of a restaurant in Albuquerque, it was love at first sight. The peach stucco juxtaposed with the vibrant teal wood was a color palette waiting to happen!

New Mexico is filled with so many wonderful earth tones and bright accents I wish I had had more time to explore… Happy Friday!

P.S. I found that fun FREE font on dafont.com – it’s called Patterns & Dots.

a fall-flower-inspired color palette

orange fall flower color palette inspiration

Last week I turned the corner to the kitchen and found a bouquet of these waiting for me. :) Just because summer is over, it doesn’t mean you have to submit to dull colors! These rich browns and uplifting shades of orange and yellow will get you off on the right foot.

Cheers to falling in love…and Happy Friday!

Succulents as per my iPhone

I’m always amazed how well iPhones capture color in photos. These photos have been cropped, but are otherwise untouched. Not bad for a phone, eh?

i scream. you scream.

Nani eating a Frosty Paw | Happy Monday.

We all scream for doggie ice cream.

Yesterday, 90̊  temps (and no air conditioning) called for Nani’s FAVORITE treat in the whooole world: a Frosty Paw. Though the clicks of my camera made her cringe, she didn’t let it stop her from licking.

Happy Hot Summer Monday, everyone.

a “peachy”-protea-inspired color palette

Peachy Protea Color Palette | red, peach, yellow, lavender, green

This is the other flower I bought at the farmers market: a red protea. I just love the red, peach, and yellow details against the light lavender and green. Mmm…refreshing.

Happy Friday!

Queen Protea

Queen Protea

Queen Protea

I bought—well, asked for—this single bloom (called a queen protea) at the farmers market for the sole purpose of taking pictures of it.

This thing is almost more animal than plant! Amazing, right?!!

Happy Monday.

a nature-inspired neon color palette

Neon in Nature Color Palette

As you may be aware, the local nursery* is where I find most of my color inspiration. This African plant caught my eye because of its neon yellows, greens, and pinks…such a trendy little thing. :)

*I learned this month that people on the East Coast don’t call “garden centers” nurseries. Is that true?
