a Mom-inspired color palette

This week’s color inspiration is based on MOMS. I was so busy last week planning a surprise party in honor of my own mom that I completely forgot to post…hopefully this special one makes up for it!
The theme of our party was “Momisms :: words or phrases (real or imaginary) a mom uses,” and the color palette was comprised of papaya, pink, blush, antique gold, and bronze. Check back in the next couple of weeks for photos of our library-themed brunch!
Happy Friday & Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful moms we know!!
a pink-ranunculus-inspired color palette

This beautiful ranunculus is from Ryan and Taylor’s wedding at The Flower Fields this weekend. Not only did we get to take home delicious macaroons, but we were invited to keep the floral centerpieces too! I hope this palette of pinks and greens puts a little SPRING in your step!
Happy Friday + Congrats to the newlyweds!
a nature-inspired neon color palette

As you may be aware, the local nursery* is where I find most of my color inspiration. This African plant caught my eye because of its neon yellows, greens, and pinks…such a trendy little thing. :)
*I learned this month that people on the East Coast don’t call “garden centers” nurseries. Is that true?
a fuchsia-inspired color palette

I saw this hanging fuchsia at my favorite local nursery last weekend and couldn’t believe how BEAUTIFUL it was. The bright pink and purple petals contrasted against the fresh spring greens were just amazing! It looks almost like a flower made out of folded silk ribbons…
If you can believe it, this photo has only been cropped…I made no adjustments to the color or saturation.
Sooo pretty. Happy Friday!
