I'm just not sure if Italy is charming enough.

Whether it's a feral cat sitting in a doorway or a weathered sign on a patched-up, centuries-old building, this country is filled with a kind of beauty you simply can't find in the States.

I'll share more photos from our trip over the next few weeks, but we'll start things off with a color palette of faded-red-turned-coral, cement gray, and pistachio green. Happy Friday!

a berries-and-chocolate-inspired color palette

This past weekend we mosied into Williams Sonoma to shop for a wedding gift, and left the store with a bar of chocolate and a sample pack of gourmet dog food. It was Sunday, "Marketplace Day," when local vendors get to come in and sell their goods. As we were leaving the store, my eyes caught sight of something colorful and pretty: a piece of chocolate covered in pistachios, dried strawberries, and lavender...a perfect specimen for my Friday color palette!

The local company is called Caxao, and all of their confections are beautiful! Check them out at www.caxao.com!

Happy Friday!
