Canva :: calligraphy fonts

Looking for the best calligraphy fonts on Canva? Here are some of my favorite calligraphy fonts that you can use for free with your subscription.

What I love about them:

  1. They’re legible. Sometimes it’s difficult finding calligraphy fonts that are easy to read. These fit the bill! Sloop Script Pro has been my go-to for years - it’s formal, luxurious, and perfect for high end brands. Petit Formal Script has also been around the block. It skews more “casual and cute,” and I love the readability of it.

  2. They’re unique and recognizable. Lavonia Classy is a newer font that I haven’t used much, but it’s a fun choice for modern presentations and graphics. Is it as classic as Sloop? No, but it’s certainly eye-catching!

  3. They’re professional. Some letters in calligraphy fonts don’t connect to each other perfectly, and it drives me crazy. Kerning—that is, adjusting the space between individual letters—is not an option in Canva, so choosing high quality fonts is essential to looking professional.
