a winter-citrus-inspired color palette

This week, I stumbled upon some of the prettiest photos of food I've ever seen. They're taken by Jayme Marie Henderson, a sommelier who lives, works, and gardens in Colorado. Her blog, Holly & Flora, is overflowing with cocktail and recipe images that will make your mouth water. For reals. I wish we lived next door to her just for the smells. (And the leftovers.)

Over the next four weeks, I'll share color palettes inspired by her work. First up is Jayme's Winter Citrus Salad, a bright blend of lemon yellow and blood orange against metal gray. Mmm, refreshing!

LEMON #DACA41 / ORANGE #DC6A34 / BLOOD ORANGE #882D2C

VINO #4E2022 / PURPLE #3B2237 / METAL #4C5E6C

WHAT ARE THESE COLOR CODES? The “hex codes” above are provided as a courtesy for those customizing website colors or looking for general color inspiration. They are not based on paint or Pantone chips. Remember that ink on paper will never look the same as light on a screen. If you like a combination you see, we recommend saving the image and heading to your local hardware store to find paint chips that match. Digital colors will change depending on your phone/tablet/computer screen, so be sure to color match with real swatches. Also, I make up all the color names.

Big thanks to Jayme for allowing me to share. Have a fab Friday!
