a bright and juicy, origami-art-inspired color palette
Well, helloooooo, 2022! I almost forgot we had a blog. :)
A lot has happened over the past two years. Some dark and painful stuff, some joyful and even miraculous. If you follow Akula Kreative on Instagram, you may know that I took a sabbatical this year to enjoy our new baby and take a deep, cleansing breath. I’ve missed many aspects of working, buuut, I have to say…I REALLY enjoyed my time off. Yes, it’s been somewhat frightening to watch my bank account drain slowly yet consistently for 6+ months; however, I know I won’t look back on this and regret my decision. Not everyone is this fortunate, and I am truly grateful for it.
If you’re still reading…I hope you’re excited to see color palettes again! These account for the bulk of our website traffic, and even though people landing here don’t necessarily hire me to brand their businesses, I love providing design inspiration for so many different types of projects. (Keep those tags coming - seeing how you use these makes my day!)
Today’s cheerful and bright color palette is inspired by an incredible origami stop-motion animation by Erin Jang. Watch it here - SO FUN!
P.S. What do these colors remind you of? For me, it’s a toss-up between a sunset and Starburst.
PEACH SAND #F8C8A2 / LEMON YELLOW #FBC723
TANGERINE #FFA332 / PINK STARBURST #FF8D7B / SUMMER RED #FC5D35
WHAT ARE THESE COLOR CODES? The “hex codes” above are provided as a courtesy for those customizing website colors or looking for general color inspiration. They are not based on paint or Pantone chips. Remember that ink on paper will never look the same as light on a screen. If you like a combination you see, we recommend saving the image and heading to your local hardware store to find paint chips that match. Digital colors will change depending on your phone/tablet/computer screen, so be sure to color match with real swatches. Also, I make up all the color names.
PRO TIP
Need to convert the hex codes to something else? Google “Color Picker” and you’ll see the RGB, CMYK, HSV, and HSL equivalents when you type in the 6-digit HEX code. ;)
Happy Friday!
