a red-striped-fabric-inspired color palette

In contrast to last week’s nature retreat vibes, today I’m sharing an energetic, retro-inspired mix. Both are vacation-y, but in very different ways. This yummy mix of pink, red, yellow, and cream reminds me of eating a hot dog (barefoot) from a stand on the beach, plucking a juicy cherry off an ice cream sundae, and folding sticky Starburst wrappers into tiny sailboats (something my grandma used to do for us as kids). It’s warm, casual, young, nostalgic…and certainly capable of making you hungry!

Need to see the colors in action?

Here they are applied to a wonderfully casual, handmade sans-serif font called Road Runner by Taylor Penton:

casual sans serif font, road runner, on retro striped graphic that reads "friday fry-yay"
retro pink and cream striped graphic with casual, red font that reads "sunday sundae"
retro striped yellow and cream graphic with casual, red font that reads "sunday funday"

This Week’s Featured Font :: Road Runner by Taylor Penton

Happy Friday Fry-Yay!

You can now download a free printable PDF of this color palette that includes values for print (CMYK) and web (HEX, RGB, HSL) - as well as the closest Pantone matches for coated and uncoated stock! It’s everything you need to recreate this color combo on your own.
