a cowgirl-inspired color palette

To celebrate the kickoff of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, I’m sharing a Western-inspired color palette based on a photo by Ben Christensen in which olive green, pale blue, dusty tan, chestnut, and dark brown combine to create a natural, earthy aesthetic with a nod to rugged outdoor adventure. It’s an ideal mix for a timeless, grounded brand focused on authenticity and connection to nature.

BTW / I highly recommend checking out Head West Studio (where I found the art print above). Based in Austin, this online shop is run by a small group that creates, curates, and shares the work of Western and Southwestern artists. They have some fun prints in there. (Not surprisingly, I’m partial to the typographic series.)
