To celebrate the return of school, I’m shifting gears today and sharing an autumnal color palette inspired by an interior by my new design crush, Jessica Nelson. Andrew and I have been dreaming about where we’ll live next…and when I came across this image, I texted it to him saying, “Ok, I think I can do an older home with lower ceilings if it looked like THIS.”

Grounded, nostalgic, and warm, this palette feels both timeless and richly layered. The combination of earthy neutrals, golden ochres, and deep brown creates a sense of comfort and lived-in luxury—perfect for brands that want to convey approachability with refinement.
