a peach beach-inspired color palette

a peach color palette based on a photo of a palm tree

You know it’s summer [in Texas] when your pool turns into a solar-powered bathtub. We had no idea pool chillers existed until we moved here. I still remember jumping into the pool as a California kid and feeling the shock of cold water in the deep end - even in mid August. Nope - not an issue here! The ONLY way to feel comfortable in the Texas summer sun is to be fully immersed in water. Every other scenario leaves you sticky, sweaty, and perpetually in need of a shower.

Speaking of water…I thought I’d go with something slightly more unexpected this week in terms of beachy summer color palettes. Usually, water makes you think blue, right? Well, this photo is all about peachy sunset reflections. Think: beach, but with a warm, vintage vibe.

Need styling inspo? Here are the colors put to use on one of my old VW bus illustrations:

Hopefully this example shows you that color palettes can feel just as beachy without the blue!

You can now download a free printable PDF of this color palette that includes values for print (CMYK) and web (HEX, RGB, HSL) - as well as the closest Pantone matches for coated and uncoated stock! It’s everything you need to recreate this color combo on your own.
